Being the country with the longest life expectancy, it is also anticipated that Japan has the most number of centenarians. In fact, two Japanese already held the title of the oldest man who had ever lived; and they have the oldest population in the world. As per Japanese Ministry of Labor, Health and Welfare’s data, in 2015, they already have 61,568 centenarians. Most of them live in Shimane. In 1963, they only have 153 people who aged 100 and over. The government even foresees that over 39,000 will turn 100 in 2018.
