The autumn season is very much like spring; the plants’ colors take center stage. There are two key differences, though: the autumn effect moves from north to south, and it can be seen for more than a week. When it is in its peak weeks, the leaves of maple and gingko trees are in bright, beautiful red and yellow colors, providing everyone a sight that calls for dozens of great adjectives. The lead event during the season is the Takayama Matsuri.
