Japanese rock band [ALEXANDROS] will be lending its talent in the theme song, “Mosquito Bite” for the upcoming Bleach live-action movie. This was announced in the official website of the film. The band’s song “MILK” will also be featured.
[ALEXANDROS] said that the songs were created after all the members watching the fully-completed film. The band’s vocalist, Youhei Kawakami found a demo on his phone that he thought was a perfect match for the Bleach movie. This gave birth to the band’s collaboration with the film’s director.
The film is an adaptation of Tite Kubo’s highly successful manga, Bleach, which follows the story of a teenager named Ichigo Kurosaki, and his life after he obtains powers of a shinigami or Soul Reaper from a girl named Rukia Kuchiki. Ichigo will be played by actor Sota Fukushi. Meanwhile, Hana Sugisaki bagged the role of Rukia.
Other notable cast members include singer-songwriter MIYAVI as Byakuya Kuchiki, Taichi Saotome as Renji Abarai and Ryo Yoshizawa as Uryu Ishida.
Bleach live-action was directed by Shinsuke Sato. Sato has had prior experience in handling a live-action film as he directed the live-action version of the anime Gantz. He has also directed other anime films such as Gantz II: Perfect Answer and Oblivion Island
[ALEXANDROS]’s song “Mosquito Bite” was featured in the official extended trailer of the movie.
The songs “Mosquito Bite” and “MILK” are expected to be released sometime in summer.
Bleach live-action, on the other hand, will come out in Japanese cinemas on July 20.
