The Kuroshio Limited Express train now offers a panda-themed train that will operate, starting this August until 2019.
The train connecting Wakayama Prefecture, the home of the giant pandas of Japan, to Kyoto and Osaka, will start its panda-themed service on August 13. It is for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of West Japan Railway Co. and for the 40th anniversary of Wakayama Adventure World.
The train is decorated with a black and white face of a panda. The seats of the train also are covered with a panda-themed headrest cover. Also, the exteriors and the interiors of the train contain images of the attractions in Adventure World.
The panda-themed train schedule and service routes vary daily and passengers cannot reserve a seat, according the Wakayama Branch of JR West.
The special train will run until November 2019.
