Japan successfully hosted International Drone Expo on its second year. The three-day event of drone exhibit and trade show is said to be the largest gathering of drone community in Asia, held on April 20-22 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

Over 500 exhibitors displayed and demonstrated their drones to more than 9,000 participants.

Aside from the exhibition, there were also aero demonstrations, and seminars about these aviation gadgets. It was Japan’s first major drone industry exhibition, organized by Japan Management Association.

Drone is one big industry in Japan today. Japan’s advanced robotic technology contributes to the innovation of these unmanned aerial systems used for research, surveillance, agriculture, photography, broadcast, security, engineering, and such.

The International Drone Expo brings more technological innovation and aims to target improvement on sensing devices, self-controlling devices, softwares, and what not.

Next year’s drone expo will be held on the same venue, on April 19-21, 2017.
