Babymetal, a Japanese metal idol group, announced that they will be performing for four out of five nights at the Not in this Lifetime Japan tour of rock legend, Guns N’ Roses, this coming January 2017.

Last November 30, Babymetal, consisting of Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno), and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi), confirmed that they will perform as the opening act of the Guns N’ Roses tour in Japan. In an interview, Slash (also known as Saul Hudson in real life), the guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, said that Babymetal, a metal band consisting of three girls, was the most exciting thing that he had seen recently.

The Japan tour dates are as follows:

January 21, 2017, Saturday, at the Osaka Kyocera Dome, 6:00pm

January 22, 2017, Sunday, at the Kobe World Arena, 5:00pm

January 25, 2017, Wednesday, at the Yokohama Arena, 8:30pm

January 28-29, 2017, Sunday at the Saitama Super Arena, 5:00pm

Babymetal will be opening on all tour dates except on January 28, wherein another Japanese rock band, Man With A Mission, will be performing.

2016 had also proven to be a great year for this all-girl group. During the first quarter of the year, Babymetal released their album, Metal Resistance, under Sony. They also performed at the Alternative  Press Music Awards 2016, wherein the group shared the stage with Judas Priest’s Rob Halford.

The metal band also said that they will be releasing a live album on December 9, 2016. The album was recorded at the Webley Arena, during their performance in London. The digital version will be released on December 30.

Babymetal will also be at the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s tour in U.K this December 5 to 18.
