Honen Matsuri

Honen is a Japanese word meaning a fruitful year. Another fertility festival set in spring, this event includes musical performances from Shinto priests and an all-you-can-drink sake activity. The highlight of the the festival is the parade of the wooden phallus towards the top of a hill or the Tagata Jinta Shrine.
