Amidst the rains in Japan, enthusiasts still drove to the Tokyo Big Sight at Ariake, Koto-ku from October 27 to November 5 for the much anticipated car show of the year, the 45th Tokyo Motor Show (TMS) 2017.
With a total visitor count of 771, 200, TMS parked around 380 cars from 34 brands around the world.
One of the cars that really stood out from the rest was the Mazda Vision coupe, a product of the car brand’s recent upgrade in terms of design language. There was also the Lexus LS Plus, which defied the name “luxury car” with its futuristic chic design. This car was said to be Toyota’s very first car incorporating the ever famous driverless technology. Toyota is the mother company of the Lexus brand.
On the other hand, Honda, commemorated its roots with the display of the Honda Sports EV. Having a retro look on the outside, this new sport car would make you look classy in an instant.
The Toyota Fine Comfort Ride showcased the car company’s efforts on gearing towards the use of Hydrogen Fuel Cell. The interiors of the car is also said to pioneer the automobiles to be released by Toyota in the next two decades.
The event did not only showcased innovations on the car technology but in the future of other kinds of mobility as well. At the Tokyo Connected Lab 2017, the program aimed to show event participants of “The Future” by bringing them through a huge dome full of collaborative learning and excitement.
There was also some test-drive and test-ride programs which gave attendees the chance to experience the newly-released cars, which the world saw for the first time.
