Yasuhiro Nagano, the Mayor of Beppu, plans to build an amusement park with a twist in the spa capital of Japan.

Releasing a promotional video on November 20, the mayor promised to materialize all the contents of the video when the video reached 1 million views. True enough, after just four days, the video already went viral and even surpassed the target hits.

On November 25, the mayor released a statement of thanks to the public and finally declared the start of the planning procedure for the said spamusement park.

However, city officials said that the video was just an idea. The image of the park, as portrayed in the video, features different rides like the Ferris wheel, Carousel and cable cars. Also, as seen in the video, the rides have a built-in bath tub that is filled with hot spring water wherein customers can ride barefoot and wearing only towels.

Beppu officials also said that they are still discussing the design and safety measures of the amusement park, especially regarding the hot water system to be installed in such rides.
