On January 31, 2017, the Japanese pop idol group, Perfume, has just released the short version of the Tokyo Girl music video. This video has been uploaded on Perfume's official YouTube channel.
The song and its music video, being the chosen theme song for the drama Tokyo Tarareba Musume, gives the audience an energy that is as lightweight and as jolly as the upcoming romance-comedy TV drama.
It showcases how beautiful Tokyo is at night, with all the city lights. In the middle of Tokyo, Kashiyuka, A-chan and Nocchi can be seen inside a lit-up elevator going up a high tower while locals from all over the city are running towards the said tower.
The Japanese idol trio will be releasing a limited edition bonus DVD of the single Tokyo Girl, including a music video of the another song, Perfume View and a special teaser trailer which will be released on February 15. This can be pre-ordered on www.cdjapan.co.jp for 1759 yen.
Perfume and an American band, OK Go, have also collaborated to create the theme song for the Japanese anime, Sushi Police. The song is entitled, I Don't Understand You, and is Perfume's first song with an international artist.
Perfume is also on the cover of the “life choices issue” of Anan magazine, a weekly Japanese women's lifestyle magazine, to be released on February 8. Perfume’s “life choices” are featured in the magazine.
