After setting the Guinness World Record for the shortest song to enter the US Billboard Hot 100 charts, a specialty café, inspired by the viral craze, PPAP by Piko Taro, opened at the Tokyo Skytree Town on November 1.
No. The menu is more than pineapples and apples or pens.
Called the PPAP Café, the restaurant gives customers a bright yellow welcome, featuring the face of the new record-holder, Piko Taro. The menu is also creatively done, with more than just pineapples and apples. There’s the PPAPan, a sandwich with bulgogi and avocado. There’s also the PPATea Romita Hashimikov, which is one of the confirmed titles in Taro’s upcoming 20-song album. They don’t serve pens though, but puts elongated pieces of chocolates, in some of the treats.
