Pop Japan

Japan is known for its nature sanctuaries in the middle of the highly-urbanized environment. One of the most famous parks in Tokyo is the Yoyogi Park. The park was said to be the area where Captain Yoshitoshi Tokugawa piloted the first successful Japanese aircraft in 1910. In 1945, the area became the military barracks of the United States officers when the Allied forces finally took over Japan. In 1964, it housed the Tokyo Olympic village. In the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the handball events are said to take place at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium.
