Yonaguni Island is one of the islands of Yaeyama islands that is located 108 km east of Taiwan and 387 km north of Y'Ami island, Philippines. Yonaguni is known for its nearby submerged structure that is believed to be of human origin and possibly a remnant of an ancient civilization of the long lost land of Lemuria or the Atlantis of the far East.
