Yokohama is a city near the south-west of Tokyo. It lies in the Kanagawa prefecture. Nearby cities and towns include Sagamihara, Atsugi Hiratsuka, Yokosuka and Kawasaki. Opposite the city are the Tokyo bay and Chiba peninsula. Founded in 1859, Yokohama was one of the first Japanese ports opened in the 19th century. The city is known for museums, parks, market areas and points of interests.

* Yokohama foreign cemetery - Here lies some of the famous westerners buried.

* Fireworks festival Kanagawa Shimbun - Held every August, the Kanagawa Fireworks festival offers a view of impressive and massive fireworks.
* Yokohama boat cruise - A very popular site attraction for diner and short cruises.
