After 9 long months of planning, deliberation, crowdfunding and development, finally, Beppu's Onsen (Hot spring) Resort has now opened its doors for entertainment and relaxation.

Apparently, Beppu's city mayor had made his promise a reality with this all new amusement park. Named as Uenchi, the grand opening of the Spamusement Park was actually to thank all the pledgers of 8,000 yen and above for all their help in the project. The launch kicked off last July 29 with an open bubble bath for everyone to enjoy. Thought the park's guidelines did not say that clothes are not allowed, there are participants who still traveled for the onsen spirit and went to the park dressed only in towels.
