Are you looking for the freshest fish or tuna in Japan? It had better be Tsukiji.
The Tsukiji Market is one of Japan's largest wholesale buying and selling venue not only for fish or tuna, but also for fruits, vegetables, flowers and other items on a wet market. The venue is said to hand over around 2,000 tons of marine and terrestrial products every day to customer and travelers.
The market is said to move to a new place in Toyosu, Odaiba, Tokyo. The transfer was initially scheduled in November 2016 but has been put on hold indefinitely by the government. The new schedule is said to be around the winter of 2017.
