Reminisce your favorite anime as you watch the video tour of the Asakura House.
The Asukara House is a large traditional Japanese house. Built in 1919, the house is one of the few traditional houses that survived the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 and the World War 2.
With Japan’s unique architecture, the features of the traditional Japanese home are a part of the country’s culture. The Asakura home displays the classical features of Japanese houses such as the Genkan (entryway), Shoji (sliding panels for lighting), Fusuma (sliding panels as walls), Engawa (porch) and Tatami (mat floors), even having a beautiful garden filled with the stereotypical cicada cry.
