In the northernmost part of Japan, there is a small village claiming that their land is the final resting place of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
The legend comes from a rather peculiar collection of tales, the Takenouchi Documents, a mysterious set of writings created by a man named Takenouchi Matori around 1500 years ago.
According to this, Jesus switched places with his unknown brother to escape the Roman’s persecution. The documents were said to have been copied and passed down as a precious family treasure of the Takenouchi clan, which was later on made public in the late 1800s.
Let's watch the reaction of Youtuber, Abroad in Japan when he visited the area.
