An underground flood system was built in Tokyo for 17 years, costing 2.6 billion USD.

And now, Tokyo can add up another world record on its plate, the world’s most advanced flood defence system.

Tourists are allowed to visit the underground tunnel system during the dry season. You may step foot inside and have a tour accompanied by a Japanese tour guide.
