Hailed as one of the most beautiful bridges in Japan, the Sacred Bridge, which crosses the Daiya River can be found in the Futarasan Shrine. Measuring about 28 meters long and 7.4 meters wide, the Sacred Bridge has been bringing beauty with its vermillion lacquered structure for a long time. In fact, in 1999, the bridge is even declared as a World Heritage Site.
The Futarasan shrine, on the other hand, is located in the city of Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. The shrines houses three Shinto deities, namely Okuninushi, Tagorihime, and Ajisukitakahikone. The Futarasan Shrine is one of the places hailed as the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nikko. This shrine also keeps two traditional swords, which are now considered as National Treasures of Japan.
