The Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum has housed the renowned artist, until his death in 1996. In this place, he had developed his passion and skills as an artist since 1954, spending over 50 years in the museum until he died at the age of 84.
Taro Okamoto's style is said to have varied until he die, that the works he left behind in his studio-turned-museum could be perceived to be made by only one artist at the first glance at the exhibition at the Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum. The variety ranges from the abstract style to the surreal movement.
