Pop Japan

Located in Miyagi Prefecture, the place is actually a modern establishment catering to a variety of people. It houses a multimedia library for adults and a children's library. It also has inquiry offices for the sight and hearing impaired individuals. There are also a number of meeting rooms. Newspapers and magazines can also be read in the area. The first floor, ont he other hand, is filled with cafes, shops, an information deck and a multi-purpose events hall.

This modern building was designed by famouse Japanese architect, Toyo Ito. The construction started in 1995 but was only finalized around 2001.
