Sapporo lies in the northern island of Hokkaido. The city is famous for its beer, winter festival and Olympics. Its climates are characterized by a continental climate with the coldest temperature dropping to -15 C and the maximum 30C or above. During the cold months from December to March, the city is covered with snow thus making it a winter wonderland and a venue for winter-related sports and activities.
If you visit Sapporo, you can visit the Sapporo art park (the venue of scattered art pieces in the woods), Moerenuma Park (the location of glass pyramid), the Sapporo Beer Museum, the Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill, Curb Market, Susukino (nightlife and entertainment district, Mt.Moiwa (serviced with cable cars) and curb market (the market of super fresh food).
