The Oyama Shrine is a Shinto shrine built in 1599 as a dedication to Lord Toshiie Maeda, founder of the Kaga clan. The shrine is situated at Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan. It has been moved to its current location in the year 1873 and was renamed to Oyama-Jinja. The main gate which was constructed in 1875 is one of the famous areas in the temple, has a mixed elements of Chinese, Japanese, and European architectural elements. The famous gate stands 25 meters tall and is officially classified as Important Cultural Asset on August 29, 1950.
To get to Oyama Shrine, take a quick walk from Minami-cho or Korinbo bus stop for 10 minutes.
