The onsen is a Japanese natural hot spring bath, one of the most popular places in Japan for its relaxing vibe and therapeutic waters. The onsen has different kinds, from outdoor to indoor, separate or mixed genders, even having chemicals that can have various medical benefits.

It is important to remember that there is a proper etiquette to be followed in the onsen. While it can be public, it is significantly different than public bath houses.
