Called raibu (Japanese pronounciation of "live") in Japan, concerts are a big deal in the Land of the Rising Sun. Hence there are a lot of venues that cater and support, not only the Japanese music industry but also international artists.
The Nippon Budokan is one of the most celebrated stadiums in Japan, which already hosted "Live in Budokan" albums from Bob Dylan, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater and Ozzy Osbourne. Located in Kitanomaru Park, Chiyoda, Tokyo, the Budokan was actually built for the judo competiton of the 1964 Summer Olympics.
