Giza, Egypt is not the only country with pyramids related to sand. Even Japan has its own set of pyramids and yes, they are related to sand.
The Nima Sand Museum is located in the city of Oda in Shimane Prefecture, Japan. Giza only has three pyramids. The museum has six, made of glass and steel, which stand and reflects beautifully on top of the hill of Nima.
It is called "sand" museum because it is dedicated to show the public this rare phenomenon concerning the sand from the nearby Kotogahama beach. The sand is said to be "singing" as one walks upon it. Because of this, artists and musicians has utilized this property to create acoustic sand artworks.
