Known as one of the largest natural homes of deer in the south-central Honshu region of Japan, the Nara Park is one of the attractions one would surely list at the top when they travel to Nara Prefecture. The deer had been freely roaming around the area because they are ctually considered to be sacred creatures. These lovely brown mammals are considered to be messengers of the Shinto gods. Because of this, these deer, around over 1200 of them now, havve been the symbol of the city of Nara. They have also been declared as national treasures of Japan.
