"A wise man climbs Mt. Fuji once in his life. Only a fool climbs it twice."
The Mount Fuji is described as the majestic, perfect-cone, and picturesque symbol of Japan. It is the highest mountain in the country, and one of Japan’s Sanreizan. It is also a World Heritage site, and is officially named ‘Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration’. Its snow-capped peak and its symmetrical cone makes it a favorite by artists. Despite being active, the stratovolcano is frequented by sightseers, climbers, and pilgrims. Its name is a reflection of itself, meaning ‘immortal’, ‘without equal’, and even ‘never-ending’. The current kanji means ‘wealth’ and ‘a man of status’.
