Fall in love with the majesty of the Miharu Takizakura, the most beautiful cherry tree in Japan.
Rooted in the town of Miharu of the Fukushima prefecture is the ancient tree with an age of over a thousand years. The tree blooms every mid to late April. It is frequented by hundreds of tourists longing to admire the gentle blush of pink cascading through its branches like a waterfall. It is classified as one of the three great cherry trees of Japan, and rightly so. Despite the amount of human traffic around the area, just a glimpse of it eases the stress away.
