Maebashi is a city in Japan northwest of Tokyo and Saitama and located in Gunma prefecture. It's the seat of the prefectural government of Gunma. Nearby cities and towns include Numata, Saku, Chichibu, Sano, Gyoda, Fukaya and Honjo. The city is known for the following interesting places/interests:

* Gunma flower park - A place to visit for various floral blooms such as cherry blossoms, tulips and roses. 
* Hot springs - the Best place to keep warm during winter and autumn.
* Yakimanju - A charcoal grilled rice yeast bun seasoned with miso paste and made with flour.
* Mt.Akagi - A famous retreat during summer.
* Kiryu Yagibushi Festival - Offers attractions such as music and dancing.
