The Kongōbu-ji Temple was originally made in 1953 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi on the death of his mother. However, three centuries later, it was merged into the head temple of Shingon Buddhism.
The temple is located in the sacred Koyasan Mountain in Wakayama Prefecture. Upon entering the building, you will come across the Ohiroma Room surrounded by artistically done sliding doors. The Plum and Willow Rooms are also inside the temple wherein Toyotomi Hidetsugu committed ritual suicide in, as ordered by his uncle Hideyoshi.
The Kongōbu-ji Temple is a five minute short walk from the Senjuinbashi intersection.
