The place is probably best enjoyed during aki or autumn in Japan, when all the trees had turned to gold and red. The name of this wonderful nature escape is Karuizawa. The place is actually a natural sanctuary located at the foot of Mount Asama in Nagano Prefecture. In the late 1800s, the place was said to have been "discovered" by some foreign residents of Japan during that time. With an altitude of around 1000 meters, the place offers a lot of adrenaline-pumping activities for people who are fond of outdoor fun, like hiking, cycling, tennis playing, and even golf during summer and skiing during winter.

By the way, Mount Asama is still an active volcano.
