When other aquariums are just popular for their fish, the Kamo Aquarium boasts of its jellyfish tank.
In 1997, Tatsuo Murakami, made a jellyfish exhibition and did not expect that this would give renewed interest in this aqurium located in Yunohama, in the city of Hakodate. After the success of the jellyfish exhibition, Murakami decided to expand the aquarium's collection of jellyfish, enough to fill a whole gigantic tank. This eventually became the main attraction in the area. In addition, in Kamo, the jellyfish are not only dancing and lighting their way inside the tanks but can also be eaten.
