Summer in Japan is not only associated with festivals, fireworks and summer street food. Summer in Japan also means Okinawa Prefecture.
Okinawa prefecture in Japan is known for its white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. One of the most renowned areas is the Kabira Bay, located north of Ishigaki island. The bay is part of the Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park, and is thus protected and conserved by the government. Together with the nearby Mount Omoto, the area has been declared as a Place of Scenic Beauty. The place is actually known for culturing the most beautiful black pearls of Japan.
