Kanagawa Prefecture has a lot to offer other than travelling to the great city of Yokohama.

It houses the Jufuku-ji, considered to be the most aged and revered Zen temple in Kanagawa. Located in the city of Kamakura, the temple belongs to the Rinzai sect of Buddhism. Aside from being founded by the famous Hojo Masako, who after her husband's death, shaved her head and promised to be Buddhist nun. The deity in this temple is Shaka Nyorai.

The temple is famous, not only being a place of worship but also because of the graveyards at the back of the main temple. There are actually yaguras or cave graveyards which houses the remains of the chief priests of the temple.
