Are you a book-lover travelling to Japan? Why not drop by the district of Kanda in Tokyo?
The Jimbocho Book Town situated along the intersection of the Yasukuni-Dori and Hakusan-Dori is considered to be Tokyo's book town. To date, it is said to have around 170 bookshops, publishing houses and offices of some literary societies in Japan. The area can be accessed through the Jimbocho subway station,Kudanshita subway station, Shin-Ochanomizu/Ogawamachi/Awajicho subway stations (connected underground), or JR Suidobashi station.
The place offers the latest published books, not only in Japan but also from abroad. Collectors can also find the rarest pieces here, if they are just keen on browsing the thousand of book shelves.
