Micro-apartments started in the 1990's and since then, it continues to gather popularity. It probably became the result of the growing population of Japan during the time. And with a growing population came the problem in housing. But the Japanese people has devised a way and has come up with this weird but really helpful idea.

Probably one of the weirdest things in Japan are the micro-apartments. But these micro apartments are so fancy that you wouldn't mind living in them. Many people are actually already living in this type of apartment. Even though the space is so tight, it seems okay to live there since everything is within reach. Architects in Japan made these apartments so compact that they look weird outside.
