Japan is also home to a lot of amusement parks, whether traditional, themed, franchised or simply the ones tested by time.

Hanayashiki is considered to be the oldest amusement park in Japan. It is located in Asakusa, Tokyo.

In 1853, Hanayashiki started out as a flower park to welcome US Navy Matthew Calbraith Perry. It was eventually turned into an amusement park, with around 20 kinds of attractions, inluding what is considered to be Japan's oldest roller coaster.

Other rides include the Space Shot, Little Star, Swan and some horror-themed attractions like the Haunted House, the Thriller Car, and the Ghost Mansion.
