In Japan, the ‘Kotsu-Koen’ teaches children to follow traffic rules.
Kotsu-Koen, literally Traffic Park, is a park dedicated to teaching the children about the rules of the road. The park is a mini replica of Japanese roads, complete with traffic lights, traffic signs, pedestrian lanes, and road markers. It is a fun, safe place to teach them how to ride bicycles, with a variety to choose from. With oji-sans to guide them, the children can have fun while learning at the same time.
Japanese kids learn to drive in the Kotsu-Koen, experiencing for themselves the importance of obeying traffic rules while cruising in their cute little pedal cars. The park is also free and there is no time limit.
