Tranquil.
No word describes Hiroshi Senju Museum best. This museum in Karuizawa houses the artwork of Hiroshi Senju, a world-renown painter known for his sublime waterfall paintings. The museum opened in October 2011 and houses around 100 of Hiroshi's works.
It is only right that the beauty of the paintings harmonizes with the architecture as well. The building is an artwork in and of itself. Designed by architect, Ryue Nishizawa, the design of the museum reflects the Japanese art culture in Karuizawa. The building reflects the elegant flow of nature in Karuizawa, while the atelier is reminiscent of the Japanese craft, Origami, and the mountain lines that surround the museum.
Nothing paints peace and harmony more than the Hiroshi Senju Museum.
