Established in 1937, Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a travel destination located in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Japan. It is a flora and fauna haven, being a zoo and a botanical garden at the same time. This place is also one of the largest attractions in Asia. It also features an amusement park.

The zoo contains 125 species of mammals. Higashiyama has bears, elephants, giraffes, koalas, lion, and numerous reptiles.

In 2010, Higashiyama Zoo has been considered the most visited park in Japan.
