Also known as the Momoyama Castle or Fushimi-Momoyama Castle, the establishment that can be seen now in the Fushimi Ward, Kyoto Prefecture is actually just a 1964 faithful representation of the castle constructed by Lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Sengoku period in Japan.
Lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi retired in the regency and started building the castle in 1592. For two years, the construction ganered around 20,000 to 30,000 workers to be able to finish in 1594. The establishment may look like a catle fortress on the outside but the inside was actually constructed as a comfortable retirement villa for Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
