Being a commercial building in the southern prefecture of Fukuoka does not mean that it shouldn't be green and environmentally-friendly. The ACROS Fukuoka Prefectural International Hall is not your usual urban building in Japan. With its exteriors designed by green architect Emilio Ambasz, the 15 stepped terraces of the building has become an environmental garden that is being maintained until the present. The building houses several halls and a huge atrium dedicated for international, cultural and information exchanges, not only for countries across Asia but also of other countries around the globe.
