This place is not only a museum but also a research facility and a venue for spreading information about these ancient creatures.

Said to be the largest of its kind in Japan, the museum is situated in the city of Katsuyama in the Fukui Prefecture. The area also hosts Japan's largest and probably the most comprehensive excavation site, making the area a good venue for research and education for all travelers.
