Located in Nagasaki Prefecture, the Kojima Shrine is a holy place for followers of the Shinto relligion. The shrine is located in Maekojima, an islet that is just around 60 meters in size. It is situated around southeast of the Iki Island in Nagasaki Prefecture.
During high tide, one can see the islet sitting blissfully in the waters of the bay. But the low tide seem to impose a magic on the bay. As the water recedes, a path of land suddenly appears towards the torii or gate of the islet. This path now becomes the only way to reach or travel to the islet by foot.
