John from the Youtube channel, ONLY in JAPAN*GO, tried a ski lift in Tottori Prefecture during this time in the year. Yes, now is still autumn in Japan and riding ski lifts in fall seems to be a different idea, when all you can see could be red maple leaves or yellow ginkgo leaves, instead of snow. 

This ski lift is in Iwatate, Hoki, Saihaku District in Tottori Prefecture. The ski lift gets you into an observation deck where you can see Yonago City by the beach and also the peak of Mt. Daisen on the other side. 

The place also has a special treat for sweethearts called the Yumi Katsura Lover's Sanctuary, where lover's can "lock" their love.
