It may seem to be winter almost all-year round in Hokkaido but going to the northernmost prefecture during the Sapporo Snow Festival may just be the best time to enjoy Japan's finest white powder.

On this video, travel website, Japan Guide, gives a two-day itinerary.

Day 1 brings us to the Odori Park for the winter festival, featuring gigantic sculptures made of ice and snow. Another attraction featured is the view from Sapporo TV Tower. Last stop for the day is the Sapporo Beer Museum and Beer Garden. 

Day 2 is filled mostly with snow sporting at the Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort, and spending the night at the Jozankei Onsen.
