Shigaraki is a ceramic kiln and considered one of the traditional crafts of Japan. It is also known as shigaraki-ware. Shigaraki is one of six old kilns made in the region, with other regional blocks under the Sue ware technology named Seto, Echizen, Tokoname, Bizen, and Tamba.
Shigaraki pottery and stoneware were made in Shagaraki town in Shiga Refecture, Japan.
