Believe it or not, there's a mascot school in Japan where your favourite mascots practice their gestures, dances, and even the way they pose. Basically, it is a communication school for mascots.

The Mascot School is founded in 1985 by Choko Oohira. According to her, she wants to help those people who are aspiring to be mascots, to perfect the art of moving and playing the characters. She teaches her students everything they need to learn: from traditional dance to different walking styles. She also teaches them how to interact with the audience. She also sets some rules to be followed; no talking, no showing of any skin, and not being rude.

For them, "mascots are more than just a costume."
